2024 Action Plan: CITY IMPACT
Increasingly we see in our cities today the harassed and helpless, the sheep without a shepherd, in all demographics among all spheres of cultural influence. Only through eyes of FAITH do we see the Lord bring Revival and Awakening to these people and His ways to our culture. Yet… Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead (James 2:17). Therefore, we ACT on our faith in cities across America.
Efforts by The Great Awakening Project in 2023 have laid a strong foundation for increased ACTION in 2024. Partner with us this year to further advance the Kingdom across spheres of cultural inluence in our cities and nation.
City Impact Initiatives
In this letter, we highlight our CITY IMPACT focus for 2024…
To bring REVIVAL and AWAKENING, The Great Awakening Project unites Christian leaders from cultural spheres influencing each city. As city leaders embrace and apply Kingdom principles in their spheres of influence, the city transforms from within.
In 2023 GAP observed the launch of Orlando’s vibrant City Impact Initiative. Leaders gathered and teams formed to build collaborative strategies for bringing God’s Kingdom and ways to business, entertainment, education, government, issues address by nonprofits, and even the church. This initiative fueled and inspired fundraising for the same in other cities.
In 2024, two cities will be launched – Atlanta and Fort Worth – with more in the works:
Atlanta 100% Funded/Pledged. With pledges in process, the launch workshop is set for May 2024. In preparation, our City Impact coach meets monthly with an amazing core team of leaders working to identify aligned Christians in cultural spheres who have a heart for their city. The metrics team is busy identifying key drivers and demographics in the city so impact can be maximized and measured. This project is coming together in a powerful way!
Fort Worth 60% Funded/Pledged. Major fundraising efforts are underway in Fort Worth with great interest and an expectation to complete funding by March. A core leadership team will start formation afterwards. Target launch workshop: Summer 2024.
Target Cities. As donors and sphere leaders come forward with interest to start a City Impact Initiative in their city, we help make that happen. Currently Nashville, Philadelphia, Phoenix, and a Cincinnati 2.0 are on the horizon, with others in the works.
