Reviving the Foundations: The Story and Vision of The Great Awakening Project
The Beginnings of GAP
The Great Awakening Project (GAP) was birthed in 2020 during a time of national moral and cultural upheaval. The vision for GAP began years earlier, rooted in deep research on the rise and fall of civilizations and the influence of faith on societal transformation.
During the 2020 pandemic, seasoned leaders from impactful Christian movements recognized the urgent need for a coordinated effort to restore America’s Biblical foundations. KC Craichy, a Christian business leader, alongside Fred Markert of Youth With A Mission, and other influential leaders, saw the necessity of uniting ministries, organizations, and believers into a “Movement of Movements.” Their goal was to ignite spiritual revival and bring lasting, faith-based transformation across society by strategically engaging in the 7 Spheres of Influence: Family, Government, Education, Media, Business, Arts, and Religion.
Initially, GAP’s founders envisioned developing detailed strategic plans for each of these spheres and fundraising around them. However, leadership transitions led to a shift in approach before the current Chairman of the Board, Al Hartman, stepped in. Under his guidance, GAP began focusing on actively implementing revival through structured, strategic action.

While revival remains the heartbeat of GAP, we recognize that true, lasting change requires more than inspiration—it demands intentional, intelligent engagement. GAP is laser-focused on equipping believers to bring the Kingdom of God into every sphere of influence, ensuring that revival extends beyond the walls of the church and into society at large.
We believe that when disciples of Christ are awakened and empowered, the Gospel transforms culture. Our mission is to call believers to repentance, deepen their relationship with Christ, and equip them with a Biblical worldview so they can stand boldly for truth in every area of life. Through collaboration, strategic planning, and actionable initiatives, GAP is working to restore America’s moral and spiritual foundations.
