Prayer Points
With the Inauguration next Monday, January 20, we invite you to join us in focused prayer for the peaceful transition of power and for righteousness to prevail in our nation and its leadership. Our ultimate hope rests in Jesus Christ, whose unshakable Kingdom reigns above all earthly powers.
- Protection for Leaders and the Nation. Ask for God’s divine protection over the incoming administration, all elected officials, those attending the Inauguration activities, and the nation as a whole. Pray for safety and wisdom. Resist attacks, both internal and external, that threaten peace and stability.
- Protection from the Enemy’s Schemes. Pray that all traps set by the enemy to resist righteousness and justice would be revealed and thwarted, and that God’s Truth and Light would prevail in our nation. (Isaiah 54:17)
- Justice and Fair Transitions. Pray for smooth transitions into all positions of leadership. Ask for justice to be brought where there exists evidence of wrongdoing.
- God’s Sovereignty Over Leadership. Pray that all leaders being inaugurated will recognize that their authority comes from God alone (Daniel 2:21). May they be filled with humility and discernment as they take on their new responsibilities.
