What Will Make America Great?
Watching the Inauguration this week, one truth became clear: God is still writing His story over our nation. This is not just a political moment but a spiritual one. It is a call for us, His people, to step into the roles He has prepared for us.
Franklin Graham’s prayer at the Inauguration was a powerful reminder of this as he prayed, “We take this moment to stand still, to remember the great things that You have done for this nation. Thank You for the protection, the bounty, the freedoms that we so enjoy… We remember to keep our eyes fixed on You, and may our hearts be inclined to Your voice. We know that America can never be great again if we turn our backs on You. We ask for your help.”
We have much work to do, but we do not start from scratch. This moment reminds us of David and Goliath. With one smooth stone and a slingshot David took down the God-defying giant of the Philistines, an act of faith that changed the course of Israel’s history. This victory reminds us of the recent election, where truth prevailed against overwhelming odds. But David did not stop there. He cut off Goliath’s head, fully dismantling the enemy’s power, a picture of the decisive steps taken now through executive orders and appointments that seek to bring justice and accountability.
Even then the story was not over. The soldiers of Israel rose up and chased the Phillistines from the land, reclaiming what had been stolen. That is where we come in. Now is the time for us ordinary people filled with extraordinary faith to take action at the local level. God is calling We the People to uproot corruption, reclaim Godly leadership, and restore righteousness in all spheres of influence.
Revival Starts with Us
Now is when the hard, holy work begins.
Let us pray for revival, that God would awaken hearts and draw people to Him. Let us pray for repentance, asking Him to forgive us as a nation and bring healing to our land. Let us pray for restoration, that every sphere of influence—education, family, business, media, and government would reflect His righteousness.
Let us also pray for clarity and courage in the role each of us is called to play. Ask God to show you where He wants to use you in your family, your community, your schools, and beyond. Pray for the strength to step forward in faith, trusting that He will equip you for the work He has prepared for you.
And then, take action, stepping boldly into the roles He has given, trusting that even small acts of obedience can lead to big victories for His Kingdom. As Zechariah 4:10 states, “Do not despise these small beginnings, the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.”
Revival starts with us.
The work is far from over. God is moving. Together, with hearts aligned to His, we will see righteousness restored across this land.
Let’s get to work!
